  • White West Mac

My dog is a White Westie named Mac.

    I have a Mac laptop.
I like to Mack on ladies.

I used to have a White car.
    My house is White.
    I am White.

I live in the West End.
I go to West End Assembly.
    My doctor is Dr. Westin.
I stayed in the West End of London.
I went on an "Out West" trip when I was 9.

That's all I can think of right now, I'm sure I have more White West Mac's to add later.

  • Friday Night

I kicked off last night by first going to Friday Cheers with Josh S. But before we left his neighborhood, I spotted an albino squirrel! I had never seen one before and now my life is finally complete.

We linked up with Sarah and her friends on Brown's Island for Friday Cheers. We downed a few beers then went over to Sine. I showed Josh the secret parking lot where there are always spaces, it's free, and they never tow. I had a Stella and New Castle at Sine, then we met up with Rhee, Barham, and some of their friends at Baja Bean. I had been to Baja once before, but never on karaoke night. Rhee got up and did some karaoke which was hilarious. I have a grainy, low-res picture of him singing on my phone.

After that we stocked up at a gas station and went to a party in The Fan. It was cool. We played cards and talked mostly. Well that's a brief re-cap of the night. Tonight I am going by Honey Whytes to watch a band play, then I'm heading over to Black Finn. (I haven't been there in ages.)

  • Schools Out For Summer

I think today, June 12th, is the last day of school for Henrico County students. Good for them. I miss being out of school and NOT having to work. Those were the days. Girls had cooties, and we threw acorns at each other in my backyard, and played flashlight tag at night.

Well anyways.. for those that don't know, I have been unemployed since about the beginning of May. It's a tough time right now for insurance agents and brokers. They had to cut expenses somewhere and since I was the least experienced in the office I was the first out the door. I'm ok with it. There is a better job out there for me. I interviewed recently with Selective Insurance for a Commercial Underwriting position. This is basically THE job position I was looking for. Underwriting is very interesting to me. You have to be very analytical, ask the important questions, and be like an investigator really.

As soon as I get a job I'm getting the new iPhone 3G S. It looks pretty badass, not gonna lie. Whats the difference between the 3G S and the 3G? Glad you asked.

It is supposedly twice as fast, has greater hard-drive capacity, has better battery life, can capture and edit video, has a built-in compass, and has a 3.0 megapixel camera (over current 2.0 megapixel).

It comes out next Friday, June 19th! If I hear the good news from the people down at Selective, I'll swoop by AT&T early in the morning on Friday.. otherwise I'll just have to wait.

  • Summer-Like Conditions

I arrived at John's place Friday evening. Bob beat me there, and had set up the new dart board in the front living room. We ended up playing a lot of darts for the first half of the night. McKenzie and Cass showed up later and joined in on the darts action. McKenzie has funny dart throwing mechanics. He basically just chucks it.

A few more people showed up and we played flip cup. For a game I'm usually pro at, I was terrible! We ended up going out to Starlite until close, and that was basically our Friday night.

Late Saturday morning, John and I walked out into the 85 degree heat and went to Starlite for some brunch. Starlite is an easy walk only a block away from John's front door, which is why we are frequently there. I tried my first Eggs Benedict and it was pretty damned good.

We went to the NFL Draft party at Kenny and Victoria's from 1:30-11:00pm. We watched some of the ESPN coverage of the draft, ventured outside to play ladder golf, and played some more terrible flip cup.

We went to Bar Louie after Kenny and Vic's. I was very disappointed with their bartenders. They can not make a good Long Island for the life of them. We went back to John's place to shoot some more darts and watch Dumb & Dumber, and called it a night.

The weekend was basically what I forecasted it to be: Darts, NFL Draft party, and a few bars. And it was ridiculously hot outside.

  • Darts and NFL Draft Party

So this weekend is going to have perfect Florida-like weather again.

    Richmond, VA
    Picture 1
Other than going to a NFL Draft party for a few hours Saturday I really have no other plans. I'll just be winging it. But I definitely want to go outside and do something Saturday that's for sure. Oh, Bob ordered a dart board and was having it shipped to Richmond. It should've gotten here today. We'll be shooting darts Friday night. So darts Friday Night, among other things, and NFL Draft Party (which Bob will hate, he's not really into sports except Beer Pong). Dave and Buster's, the adult Chuckee-Cheese place, opened this past Monday in Richmond, so I'll throw that idea out there this weekend.
